Julia Wright attained a BSc Sports Science, followed by her Honours in Biokinetics, at the University of Johannesburg (UJ).
She joined Hannah’s private practice in Melrose North in 2010. Julia has a keen interest in the treatment of progressive neurological disorders as well as post-operative rehabilitation after joint replacements and ligament reconstruction. She enjoys working with the growing ageing population, particularly in fall prevention and in improving general quality of life through functional strengthening and dynamic balance training. She places an emphasis on body awareness and proprioception, and enjoys educating patients about how the body can compensate due to muscle imbalances.
Julia is an active 4th Degree Black Belt in the Korean martial art of Taekwon-Do and has been teaching since 2004.

Hannah Raath attained a BSc in Human Movement Science and Human Physiology at Wits, followed by her Honours in Biokinetics at Stellenbosch University.
In 2009, she opened her private practice, based in Melrose North. Her main areas of interests within orthopaedic rehabilitation are posture correction and bone and joint conditions such as osteoporosis, arthritis and joint pain. Hannah has a keen interest in fall prevention as well as motor learning in patients that have suffered from neural injury and stroke. In 2015 she completed for MSc (Med) Biokinetics, and her research was focused on assessing what exercises where most effective in reducing falls in the elderly. Hannah has presented in numerous local conferences and congresses, and well an international conference based on preventing falling and improving mobility in older adults.
Currently Hannah is focusing her time on furthering her knowledge in the field of health and active ageing.
Seugnette Pretorius completed her BCom Sport Management at the University of Johannesburg (UJ) in 2011. This was followed by a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education as well as a BCom Honours in Sport Management in 2012 and 2013 respectively.
During 2014, she completed her Honours in Biokinetics. Seugnette has recently qualified as a certified pilates instructor and understands the value that both Pilates and Biokinetics have in the rehabilitation process. She has a special interest in the functioning of the human body as a kinetic chain, and how an injury can cause compensation in different muscle groups. She strives to enhance the quality of life of all her patients by explaining the importance of being physically active.
In her free time Seugnette loves running, practicing pilates and being active outdoors
Chavah Barit completed her BSc Sports Science at the University of Pretoria (UP) in 2016. She then attained her BHSc (Hons) in Biokinetics at WITS in 2017.
Chavah has a special interest in orthopaedic rehabilitation and sports injury prevention, in order to ensure a healthy lifestyle and wellness for patients. She is a firm believer that activity, especially participating in sports and formal exercise programmes, is essential towards keeping healthy.
Chavah participates in swimming, competing in sub-masters galas and road running races, up to and including, half marathons. Chavah has provincial colours in Table Tennis and Biathlon. The participation in various sports has enabled her to put her academic studies into practice.
Kathryn Pelser completed her undergraduate degree in Sport Science at the University of Stellenbosch, with a chosen final year subject in disabilities. She then completed her BHSc Biokinetics Honours degree at WITS. She completed her internship at a private practice where she worked predominantly with neurological and orthopaedic conditions.
Kathryn has a keen interest in working with people with neurological conditions, disabilities and the older population focusing on improving quality of life and functional movement.
She is an active individual who played sports throughout university, and is currently an avid runner, training for her second triathlon. This has created an interest in sport-related injuries. She enjoys working with people from all walks of life and strongly believes in movement having a great importance in our lives.
